A Resource Management and Planning Appeals Tribunal hearing will be held after the Meander Valley Council voted down the proposal.
More than 300 representations against the proposal were made by the community.
Councillor Andrew Connor was the only elected member to vote for the application at the December council meeting.
Complaints were made because of the tower’s proposed location. Residents said it would reduce the amenity of the surrounding properties.
However, after the council meeting, other residents spoke out against the council’s decision.
The tower is proposed by Telstra.
The hearing will be held on January 16 at 2.15pm.
