About nine trucks are on scene, including three heavy pumpers and four heavy tankers.
Tasmania Police said the fire was occurring at a barn.
The barn is located on Vermont Road.
A road closure was put in place about 7pm at Bill Grove at the south-east end.
The fire was fire reported about 6pm.
Tasmania Police is also on scene.
