On Saturday he took on the Clifford Craig Run and Walk for Heart in Launceston.
”I do the Bridport Fun Run, and walk with the the Bridport Heart Foundation Group in Scottsdale twice a week and do six kilometres with them on a Thursday and 3.6km on Tuesday,” he said.
“I do exercise because it keeps me from laying down.”
Mr Bensemonn was joined by about 400 other people who took on the 5km challenge.
Clifford Craig event coordinator Rebecca Biggelaar said numbers participating in this year’s event were slightly up.
“It’s the opportunity for us to educate the community about heart health and get them out here participating … to just get moving,” she said.
“With the staggering heart statistics here in Tasmania it’s really important to educate the community and the next generation, which is why we get the young ones involved too.”
