Here are five trails worth checking out these school holidays.
Hollybank Reserve
There is something for everyone at this Underwood mountain bike park.
Not only does it feature easy, intermediate and difficult trails, but there is also a skills area with Australia’s biggest pump track.
All this just 20 minutes outside of Launceston.
Montezuma Falls
It’s difficult to talk about exploring the West Coast without mentioning this unique ride.
The route follows an old railway line, which can be broken into different sections, depending on what time you have.
Peter Murrell Reserve
Located on the southern edge of Kingston, the route takes you through easy to moderate terrain featuring dams, bush and wildlife.
Definitely a good ride option for families.
Railton - Sheffield Railway Line
The old railway line from Railton to Sheffield in the state’s North makes for some leisurely riding.
There is also plenty to see in both Railton and Sheffield.
Stubbs Road (Turners Beach)
Combining easy routes along the Ulverstone to Turners Beach cycleway, this trail gives riders the opportunity to enjoy some single track mountain biking on private land off Stubbs Road.
You definitely get the best of both worlds.
