Friday was the last day at Newstead College before 15 exchange students headed home to Pernambuco, Brazil.
The students said they would miss the Tasmanian school system, because they had five subjects compared to 15 in Brazil. Lucas Antonio Verissimo de Melo said that school in Pernambuco could be as long as 10 hours a day.
Australian food and kangaroos were some things they said they would miss.
The students, who have stayed with host families, said they would want to return to Tasmania and bring their families next time.
