El Hablador is coming to Launceston.

What could easily be the name of a Spanish pop-up restaurant is actually Ross Noble’s latest show.

The UK comedian will again showcase his improvisational skills across Australia throughout July and August, including an appearance at the Princess Theatre.

He told Fairfax Media the exotic title of the show was inspired by his creative process.

“I don’t sit down and write a show then do it, the show is kind of what mood I’m in,” he said.

“So El Hablador, depending on which translator you use online, it means ‘talkative’ or ‘storyteller’.

“Coming up with a title of the show is always tricky because there’s no real theme to what I do, so I just thought, ‘let’s come up with a way of saying I’m going to be talking bollocks’ basically.”

Noble has been a favourite amongst Australian crowds, having performed 14 sell out stand-up tours in the country since 2001.

He is coming into this year’s tour on the back of theatre success, winning Best Supporting Actor in a Musical at the What’s On Stage Awards for his role in Young Frankenstein on London’s West End.

Ross Noble will play at The Princess Theatre on July 18.
