Premier Will Hodgman has a new chief of staff – senior bureaucrat Tim Baker. Mr Baker will fill the shoes of Brad Stansfield, who is taking a role as an adviser to federal Finance Minister Mathias Cormann.

Currently the Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment department deputy secretary, Mr Baker was once chief of staff for former State Growth Minister Matthew Groom.
Mr Stansfield was on a wage band between $238,014 and $275,000.
