Northern Tasmanian Eventing Club president Phyllis Pyke said proceedings will become more interesting on Sunday with both the cross country and show jumping phases to take place from 8.30am.
Pyke said one-star competitors will cover up to three kilometres on the cross country course with 28 jumping efforts including a including a water complex.
“Unfortunately the weather was against us but all other riders handled it really well,” Pyke said.
“At the moment we’ve got the CNC one-star competition, which is one of the highest level competitions we have in Tasmania.
“Positions can change quite dramatically in the cross country phase with riders often moving up and down the points table a fair bit.”
About 115 horse and rider combinations from all over the state are competing at the championships.
