Teacher Tania McNear said the school was hosting a Pink Stumps cricket match with the aim to raise funds for the McGrath Foundation.
“We were trying to find events this year that involves community spirit,” Ms McNear said.
“[The McGrath Foundation] is also something that’s very close to everyone.”
The school aimed to raise $750 through selling pink hats and bandanas, allowing students to wear pink clothes for a gold coin donation, having a pink bake sale, and holding a sausage sizzle.
Ms McNear said students from throughout the school would be involved with the event, with the main attraction being a staff and community versus Year 9 and 10 student cricket match.
The Pink Stumps match will take place at Lilydale District School on March 16 from 11am.
