The regional organisation is engaged with Meat and Livestock Australia in a three-year project to improve pasture management.
The aim of the project, based at Elverton Pasture, is to increase profitability of red meat production by more than 10 per cent.
Featuring its pastures project consultant Eric Hall, the open day will give farmers an insight into its work.
“The project has identified, and started to establish, demonstration plots, which now are showing early results,” Mr Hall said.
The Field Day is on March 20 between 10.30am and 3pm. For more information, contact Tamar NRM on 6323 3310.
