Wine, Eats & Beats at Pipers Brook Vineyard
Head over to Pipers Brook Vineyard for their Wine, Eats & Beats event to enjoy a sunny afternoon filled with Tasmanian wine, food, and music.
Starting at 12pm on December 16, don’t miss out on a chance to relax among the grapevines.
People are encouraged to bring along their own a picnic blanket and some friends to enjoy a cruisy afternoon in the sun amongst the historic vines of Pipers Brook.
Carrick Speedway 50th Anniversary
Festive cheer and fast cars will combine at Carrick Speedway on Saturday for the 50th Anniversary Christmas Kick Off.
Starting at 5pm, the event will feature late models, formula 500’s, modifieds, street stocks, junior sedans and speedcars.
Tiger army reunites
More than 200 tigers fans will line up to meet and greet Richmond premiership player Jack Riewoldt on Saturday.
Riewoldt will have the cup in tow and will be at Balls and Bumpers in the afternoon.
Door sales may be available depending on the AFL star’s commitments.
Civilisation at the Queen Victoria Art Gallery
Find a piece of Civilisation at the Queen Victoria Art Gallery while exploring the streets of Jalalabad in Afghanistan.
The painted canvas panels were created by internationally renowned artist George Gittoes, and are some of the first pieces Gittoes has exhibited in Tasmania in relation to his award winning documentary Snow Monkeys.
The installation will be on display until February 18.
Kid’s Paradise Kids’ Christmas Party
The ultimate children’s fun day out will be held at Kid’s Paradise at the Tailrace Centre on Sunday.
Hosted by Kid’s Paradise, the event will include Santa’s Balloon Bounce, Rudolph’s Tug of War, Mrs Clause’s Kitchen, Dancer’s Photo Booth, as well as a number of outdoor activities.
The party will run from 10-11.30am, with entry $15 per child. Entry is free for family pass members.
Sausages and hamburgers will be available for purchase.
Launceston’s Carols by Candlelight
Launceston Carols by Candlelight will be held at Launceston’s City Park on Sunday, December 17.
Entry to the carols is $5 per adult and $3 per child. All money raised will be donated to The Examiner’s 109th Empty Stocking Appeal. Candle included.
