Tasmania Fire Service were called by the property owner after being alerted of the fire by a neighbour.
On arrival, firefighters found a large shed engulfed by flames which was threatening a nearby house.
The fire was brought under control and stopped from spreading to a nearby house, but the shed and contents were unable to be saved with damage estimated at $45,000.
A fire investigation is underway.
