The ensemble has been performing for the Launceston community free of charge for more than 30 years, and will again take to the stage next Saturday for what will be their second concert of 2017.
Violinist/pianist Wayne Madden said there was always a good mix of regulars and first timers at the concerts.
“We have a mailing list, which keeps people coming back,” he said.
“There are usually a few fresh faces as well, which is always good.”
As with the make up of their audience, the program for the Kepler Ensemble’s next concert will feature both classics and some new inclusions. After a lengthy hiatus from their repertoire, the group will be reviving the work of one of their favourite composers in Carl Reissiger, a prolific 19th century German composer.
Following on from previous concerts, Wayne and pianist Jane Fleming will present works by violinist-composer Fritz Kreisler, including the arrangement of the Granados Danse Espagnole and Schön Rosmarin.
The Kepler ensemble will perform a free concert on July 1 at Heather Hall on Robyn St from 7.30pm.
