Launched previously in Burnie, the campaign will target Launceston over the next two weeks with a focus on the manufacture, supply and distribution of drugs.
Chair of Crime Stoppers Tasmania Amanda Castray said the organisation had been working closely with Tasmania Police to “keep drugs out of the community”.
“Crime Stoppers is responding to the needs of Tasmanians, and really creating a safer Tasmania,” she said.
Ms Castray said residents could report information anonymously.
“You will never be identified or called up for a court case, but every piece of information you provide can help solve crimes and reduce supply,” she said.
Detective Inspector John King said Tasmania Police welcomed any information from the public that may relate to individuals bringing harmful drugs into the local community.
“We’re interested in registration numbers, identities of people, people moving in and out of locations at strange times,” he said.
“All of these things may appear really insignificant on their own but can be that missing piece of information that will enable us to move forward.”
Det Insp King said the campaign would not focus on those using illicit drugs.
“This is about the criminal in our society, doing the wrong thing,” he said.
Crime Stoppers can be contacted on 1800 333 000.
