The Tasmanian Fire Service issued the alert just after 4.30pm.
This is due to a bushfire at Pipeline Road, Mawbanna.
However, the TFS state there is no threat to communities, yet there may be smoke and ash from this fire visible around the greater Burnie area.
The latest alert follows one for the South of the state issued this morning for Dover, Southport, Cockle Creek, Huon Valley, Kettering, Mountain River, Bruny Island, Hobart and surrounding communities.
This was due to bushfires at Gordon River Road Mount Cullen, Southwest and Maxwell River South West.
The smoke and ash from these bushfires was expected to be detected around Dover, Southport, Cockle Creek, Huon Valley, Kettering, Mountain River, Bruny Island into Hobart and surrounding locations.
The TFS continues to advise people travelling in these areas of bad visibility, to exercise caution and for those driving - turn on headlights and drive slowly.
Those with respiratory concerns should follow their medical action plan.
