Tasmania Police allege the 26-year-old man stole a Holden Captiva from Devonport on Friday, drove the vehicle to Hobart on Saturday, then dumped it in open land in the Warrane area about 8pm the same day.
The man was arrested by Tasmania Police on Sunday at a residence in Warrane.
He was charged with two counts of motor vehicle stealing, burglary, three counts of stealing, two counts of aggravated burglary, breach of Police Family Violence Order, common assault, attempted stealing, evade police, dangerous driving, unlawfully set fire to property and breach of bail.
The man has been remanded in custody to face the Hobart Magistrates Court today.
