The book, Tasmania's Beaumaris Beach Mystery - What Happened to Nancy and Victoria? was written by Scottsdale author Melanie Calvert and tries to link Ms Cafasso's death with the disappearance of Nancy Grunwaldt.
Ms Grunwaldt, 26, vanished while visiting the state's East Coast in 1993.
What caused her disappearance remains a mystery.
Ms Cafasso, 20, was found murdered on Beaumaris Beach, on the state's East Coast, in 1995.
No one has been charged with her murder.
"I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to find out what happened to Nancy and Victoria," Calvert said.
"Someone out there knows exactly what happened to them."
Police are investigating the matters separately.
The book is Calvert's second, following the release of Freycinet in 2012.
