Support for Labor fell five points to 29 per cent, while the Greens picked up 4 per cent to 19 per cent support.
Support for the Will Hodgman Liberal government rebounded, climbing back to 46 per cent - up 4 per cent from the last EMRS poll in February.
EMRS chief operations director Samuel Paske said the latest poll of 1000 Tasmanians was completed last Friday in a week that saw Greens leader Kim Booth resign from State Parliament as well as speculation about the pending State Budget.
“Support for the Liberal Party had dropped to a four year low of 42 per cent prior to this poll so this four-point rise, while treated with caution, may be a sign of renewed support for the
Government due to increased household confidence in the last twelve months,” said Mr Paske.
Mr Hodgman continues to have the highest level of support as preferred Premier, with 52 per cent nominating him as their preferred candidate.
Opposition Leader Bryan Green was nominated the preferred option by 24 per cent of those polled. A quarter of respondents said they were either unsure or supported neither leader.
