The HABBOT - An Elected Journey opens at Launceston's Princess Theatre tonight, after a sellout three-week season in Hobart.
It is the 37th revue that Graeme Paine has been involved in with the Old Nick Company, and while he has directed 17, this is the first he has co-directed with son Nick, who plays Bilbo Shorten and Will Hodgman.
``It's very funny, it's perhaps the funniest that I've done,'' Graeme Paine said.
``We've deliberately kept all the items as short as we can, so if something doesn't quite work, it's gone and we're onto the next thing pretty much straight away.''
The political satire will include everything from skits on Schapelle Corby through to a tribute to the Rolling Stones and discussion about a cable car for Hobart's Mount Wellington.
Paine said the show had had a great response in Hobart.
``I know a number of people who are coming up here to see it because they couldn't get seats in Hobart,'' he said.
Seats are still available, but expected to sell quickly.
Paine said it was a great show for a laugh and people didn't have to see The Lord of the Rings to understand it.
The Uni Revue is the Old Nick Company's biggest annual fund-raiser and helps it put on more shows.
Tickets are available at the Princess Theatre and the show will run until Saturday.
