General manager Robert Anderson, finance director Greg Hay and board members Mike Wise and Charles Piper all received the honour this week joining Graeme `Aga' Khan as life members of the revamped NTFA competition, which grew out of the former Tasmania Amateur Football League's Northern division.

Anderson has racked up 45 years involvement in various positions after playing with Brooks Old Boys from 1968, where he was a league delegate, club secretary, and treasurer.

He was treasurer and president of the TAFL Northern Division before being appointed NTFA general manager in 2000, a position held for the past 13 years.

A former player, treasurer, secretary and life member of the St Pats Football Club, Hay served as treasurer and vice-president of the TAFL Northern Division before being elected NTFA director of finance in 2004.

He is a delegate to the Tasmanian Amateur Football League, Tasmanian Football Council and Australian Amateur Football Council.

Wise is a former Quandeine player, committee member, president and life member and board member of the Amateur League since 1980.

He was a secretary and president of TAFL Northern Division and manager of several state football teams.

A former Old Scotch player and delegate to the amateur league, Piper has served as a Northern, state and Australian amateur selector.

He joined the board of the Amateur League (now NTFA) in 1974 and has a continuous involvement since. "These are long overdue life memberships," NTFA president Geoff Lyons said.

"For a long time these guys have been doing great work for the NTFA and really it would not exist without them.

"Some of them have been involved for more than 50 years with the association in many different roles working for the good of footy."
