On Wednesday, November 21, Bellerive detectives and uniformed officers from Bellerive, Bridgewater and New Norfolk searched the property. They found a loaded Glock pistol with two full 17 shot magazines and a laser sight, a fully loaded double barrel shotgun and a loaded pump action shotgun with a fully loaded five shot magazine and a large amount of ammunition in the bedroom.
One of the firearms has been identified as having been stolen from a Levendale property in 2010, while the origin of the other two firearms is being investigated.
Police also found ten cannabis plants and a grow room was also found.
The man has been bailed to appear in court on December 17.
Police have also recovered a shortened double barrel shotgun in recent weeks.
Investigations are continuing in relation to the circumstances surrounding the recovery of this weapon and detectives are investigating the likelihood of this weapon having been used in serious crime in the south of the state in recent months.
Police would like to speak with anyone who may be able to provide any information regarding the most recent seizure of firearms.
