In 2018, 10.4 per cent of Tasmanian voters cast votes early at a pre-poll centre.
The deadline to apply for a postal vote is 4pm on Friday, March 15.
Tasmanian Electoral Commissioner Andrew Hawkey said the quickest way to apply for a postal vote was by downloading and printing a form from the commission's website.
"The form can then be returned to us by email," he said.
Telephone voting is being offered for the first time in this state election for voters outside of Tasmania.
The telephone voting service is open from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm on weekdays at present.
