Tasmania Police say a Molotov cocktail was thrown at the business, located at 114 Invermay Road, Invermay, about 12.10am today.
Police said the Molotov cocktail ignited a small fire on the roof of the business.
The Tasmanian Fire Service was called to the scene and the fire was extinguished a short time later.
Two people were taken into custody in relation to the matter and are assisting police with their inquiries.
Police would like to speak with any witnesses in the area at the time of the incident or anyone with dash-cam footage from the area that may have captured the incident or a silver Nissan X-Trail.
