While South Hobart Sandy Bay have the luxury of a weekend bye before the sedate trip across the Tasman Bridge, the Greater Northern Raiders will travel to the capital for a two-day game, return home and then make the same journey early on Wednesday morning.
And to make things worse, the team has been hit by COVID-19 with Alex Wynwood testing positive after Saturday's 52-run loss in a 50-over game against Lindisfarne at UTAS Stadium.
The Ulverstone batsman is a big loss having hit 213 runs at 26.63 this season with a top score of 84, also against Lindisfarne in round five.
However, coach Tim Coyle wasn't making any excuses ahead of a busy week for the team.
"Alex is out for the weekend but hopefully back for Wednesday if he returns a negative test," he said.
"We've got a big game next Wednesday plus a two-day game this weekend which kind of gets in the way a little bit. It's a challenge because we'll also be switching from red ball to T20.
"South Hobart have a bye this week whereas we're going to Hobart Saturday, back Sunday and then back down there on Wednesday so it's a pretty tough program but we're in a final so we'll deal with it."

- Greater Northern Raiders coach Tim Coyle
The wily coach said the team must embrace adversity if it is to land the franchise's first silverware.
"We've just got to focus on this game and then adjust again on Monday to get ready for Wednesday and we'll train at UTAS on Tuesday," Coyle added.
"We'll pick specifically for each game so our best two-day team then our best T20. The majority of our players are pretty consistent through all three forms so will play both games.
"We'll be looking to pick a team pretty similar to what we've had."
Riverside all-rounder Aidan O'Connor was rested last week due to workload and will come back into consideration for selection.
