Tasmanian energy users have either the lowest or amongst the lowest energy bills in the country, according to the state's Economic Regulator.

The regulator's most recent report on gas and electricity pricing, released on Monday, compared Tasmanian costs to those in other Australian jurisdictions.
Economic Regulator Joe Dimasi said the annual bill for residential customers on Aurora Energy's general usage tariff is $2052 for the typical non-concession customer.
"The annual bills under equivalent representative tariffs in other jurisdictions, at the same level of consumption, range from $1966 in Queensland to $2603 in South Australia," he said.
Mr Dimasi said residential customers on Aurora's time-of-use tariff faced lower bills than customers on the same tariff in other jurisdictions.
He said the bills for concession customers was lower in Tasmania than anywhere else.

The prices under Aurora Energy's tariffs fell by 7.1 per cent for its residential customers and by 11 per cent for its business customers in July this year.
Energy Minister Guy Barnett said Tasmanians now had the lowest or amongst the lowest power prices in the country depending on which tariff they were on.
He said there had been an 18-per-cent reduction in real terms on power prices since 2014 for residential customers and a 27-per-cent reduction for businesses.
Council on the Ageing chief executive Sue Leitch said the price drops were welcome news for older Tasmanians.
She said a recent survey of older Australians found 16 per cent of those surveyed had overdue power bills while in Tasmania it was 13 per cent.
