Launceston's much anticipated Tasmanian Outdoor Boat and Caravan Show is set to grace the calendar once again in 2021.
Event co-organiser Ken Gourlay said there would be a range of caravans and boats on show, with a number of them available to purchase.
Mr Gourlay suggested buying from the show might be the best chance some people could get to snap up a boat or caravan in 2021, with sales of the popular holiday items having skyrocketed as Tasmanians look for ways to travel within their home state.
"A lot of people have turned to caravans. Australia at the moment is receiving a real boost," he said.
Event sponsor CamperPlus came on board for 2021 and were bringing between eight and 10 caravans and a similar quantity of camper vans for attendees to feat their eyes on.
CamperPlus general manager Leigh Johnstone echoed Mr Gourlay's comments about the appetite for caravans at the moment.
"The caravan industry is expecting a permanent expansion of between 30 and 50 per cent as a result of the pandemic," he said.
"Pre-COVID there was nearly 1000 new caravans registered in Tasmania per year, and for post-COVID I expect we will see a considerable increase."
The fan-favourite show was expected to be attended by between 6000 and 8000 people, and would be held from 9am until 5pm on September 10 and 11 and 9am until 3pm until 12 at the Silverdome.
In a sign of the times, the event will require all attendees to wear a mask, and it would be a cashless event.
Food and drinks would be available at the show. Tickets are available at Ticketek and cost $13.25 for seniors and $15.30 for people aged 18 and over.
