The Roos have a 100 per cent record against the Bombers this season with three wins from three games.

"I think as the year's progressed we've got such a young group that we've improved really rapidly," Bombers coach Brenton Gale said.

"I've got no doubt that we're significantly better now than the last time we played them."

The Bombers will lose Josh Harris due to injury and Matthew Cossins but Blade Sulzberger will play in the crucial finals fixture.

Harvey Griffiths, Declen Chugg and Harry Bayles are players to watch this weekend.

"Harvey Griffiths, he's one that's played a lot of senior football this year, his ability to find the ball at clearance has been outstanding in our last month of football, he's got a bright future," Gale said.

"Declen Chugg is another one, he's played a lot of senior footy but he's playing wing and half-forward, he's really important for our structure and he understands the game-plan really well.

"The other one is Harry Bayles, he's playing a sort of midfield-forward role for us and he gives us a little bit of X-factor, he's very powerful and very fast and uses the ball well."

Gale said the side was confident it had the game-plan to match one of the league's best sides.

"We understand we have our work cut out for us if we want to go down to Hobart and knock them off," Gale said.

"If we implement our game style the way we want to implement it we've got full confidence."
