Elizabeth Anne Quill, 36, was found guilty in June of causing the death of 18-year-old Jayden John Pearce in the crash on Pipers River Road, near Lower Turners Marsh in 2018.

She received a three-month suspended jail sentence and was banned from driving for two years.

Ms Quill appeared in court again this week, accused of driving while disqualified on August 31.

She also faced charges of possession of a controlled plant, namely cannabis, and two counts of possession of a thing for the administration of a controlled drug, namely smoking pipes.

She did not enter pleas and was bailed by Magistrate Simon Brown to reappear on October 4.

Mr Pearce was fatally injured in 2018 when Ms Quill's car crossed onto the incorrect side of the road and collided with the car in which he was a passenger.

Ms Quill offended in the aftermath of the fatal crash. She pleaded guilty to driving on Pipers River Road with ice in her system in January 2019 - three weeks after the crash.

She also drove on the East Tamar Highway at Hillwood with methylamphetamine in her system on March 1 last year and drove in Ravenswood on July 28, 2020, when her driver's licence was suspended.

For these offences, she was sentenced in May to a 12-month community correction order and disqualified from driving for 18 months.
