Defending champions City Marians host ladder-leader South Launceston in their second meeting of the season, with the first resulting in a round-two 1-1 draw.
Since then, both sides have only lost one match, with South's extra game the only difference between them on the ladder.
Marians' defence has been their strength, only conceding four, while South's offensive unit has been on fire - scoring 44 goals.
Two sides that have endured contrasting fortunes since their round-one clash, Queechy and Smithton, face off at St Leonards.

The Saints shocked the Penguins in the clash but since then, the home side has worked its way into the top four, while Smithton has only celebrated one more victory.
Equal on points with bye side South Burnie (16), the weekend's clash offers an opportunity for Queechy to get some breathing space en route to a finals berth.
Launceston City have the massive task of hosting second-placed West Devonport, in a back-to-back fixture for the two sides.
The pair played out a surprise scoreless draw on the Dragons' home deck as City have matched it with last year's finalists on their two contests this season despite the ladder gap.
Having only won one game this season, City sit in seventh ahead of Saturday's game.

South Burnie and Burnie Baptist renew their cross-town rivalry, facing off in an important league fixture.
Undefeated Baptist sit eight points clear of the Hawks, having defeated them 7-0 early doors, but since two early losses, South hasn't missed a beat and is a dangerous prospect for Baptist in third place.
The other game on the North-West Coast sees South Launceston travel up the Bass Highway to face City Marians.
The last time these two met, it was a rough day at the office for the Marians, going down 16-0 but the past two weeks have seen the eighth-placed side stand toe-to-toe with some of the competition's best while the Suns are shaking off their Baptist loss.
The gap between fifth and sixth will widen or shrink as Queechy hosts Smithton.
Queechy got the better of the Saints 5-0 earlier this year and will come into Saturday's clash as favourite but while both sides lost last Wednesday, the Saints have tasted victory again and could come within just one game of fifth.
The side responsible for knocking Queechy out of the top four, Launceston City, play host to West Devonport after the Penguins' game.
A hat-trick to Beau Cornelius stopped the Dragons in their tracks in their last meeting and City will be a tough adversary for them once again after going up against the Premier League's top side last weekend.
After the 21-0 loss to South Launceston, West has got on the scoreboard in its past two encounters
