A Launceston Magistrate issued a warrant for the arrest of a 27-year-old Newstead man when he didn't appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Monday.

Luke Jack Walker was due to face a hearing on a count of two counts of drive while disqualified, two counts of breach of bail, one count of evade police and one count of reckless driving.
He was also due to face a separate count of drive while disqualified.

He was also due to appear for mention on one count of common assault, two counts of drive while disqualified, one count of unlawful possession of property, possession of a controlled drug (methylamphetamine) and possess a thing for administration of a controlled drug between January 4 and January 18, 2021.
Mr Walker was granted bail in the Supreme Court in Launceston on June 1.
Magistrate Simon Brown issued a warrant for his arrest and adjourned the case until August 5.
