Kings Meadows High School was full of action on Tuesday as the North's top runners took to its grounds for the Northern High Schools Sports Association cross-country championships.

With 11 schools competing for team points across two divisions, while others sent individual athletes, it was Riverside and Port Dalrymple emerging victorious in their respective divisions.
ELSEWHERE IN SPORT
Riverside collected four wins in the teams competition, victorious in the grade seven, eight and 10 girls as well as the grade nine boys, with Kings Meadows, Prospect and Queechy sharing the rest.
In the tight division two teams race, Port Dalrymple and Cressy both won three graded sections, while Deloraine took out the remainder.
The races themselves were won by athletes from a variety of schools, with Riverside (three), Cressy, Prospect, Lilydale, Port Dalrymple and Flinders Island all sending winners.

- Grade 8: Sophie Brewer (Riverside), Darcy Carless (Riverside).
- Grade 9: Zoe Casey (Prospect), Rafferty Arundel-Clarke (Lilydale).
- Grade 10: Ellie Marshall (Port Dalrymple), Connor Wheatley (Flinders Island).
