Competing at Launceston Aquatic Centre on Wednesday, Prospect won the final two combined age relays to secure an eight-point win over the perennial champions.
Riverside (540) edged the junior shield by two points but Prospect won their first senior shield since 1987 (618 points to Riverside's 608) to claim overall honours.

Kings Meadows was also very competitive and finished just shy of four figures.
Three records were broken on the day - two by Kings Meadows' Jess Homan (grade 10 girls' 50m butterfly in 31.99 and 100m freestyle in 1:04.03) and one by Prospect High's girls combined age relay (2:10.05).
Earlier in the week, St Marys took out the division two carnival while St Helens claimed division three.
