Thyne House at 214-216 York Street provides long-term affordable accommodation for young people aged 16-25 who are at risk of, or already experiencing, homelessness.
The facility currently has up to 30 self-contained units, as well as a variety of communal areas.
In other news:
The state government has put out for tender an expansion to Thyne House, which will see the construction of a new residential wing containing 20 independent one-bedroom living units with associated facilities, as well as a cafe on the ground floor.
The existing facilities will also receive improvements.
When Housing Minister Roger Jaensch announced the Thyne House expansion in July, he said it would result in it undergoing a transition to an "Education First Youth Foyer model", providing "integrated learning and life skills as well as supported accommodation".
The project is expected to be completed by June 2022.
Applications for the tender close on January 6 at 2pm.
