Time to get out your calendars and start planning your Mona Foma experience because the team have launched the 2021 program and you won't want to miss.
The line up for the 13th year of the festival boasts nearly an all Tasmanian program with over 352 artists, 90 percent of them are from the island state.
Some artists will perform in both Launceston and Hobart and others will only perform in one of the locations.
The highlights for Launceston include Chairway to Heaven, Acoustic Life of Boatsheds, Mofo Sessions at Royal Park, 'Til It's Gone, and the previously announced Aqua Luma.
Acoustic Life of Boatsheds from Big hART, and the next chapter for the Acoustic Life of Sheds, will take patrons on a journey along the Tamar and Esk Rivers, hoping to ignite a passion and appreciation for the waterways by exploring the boatsheds that adorn them.
Each shed will house musicians who will perform compositions inspired by the shed and its hidden culture.
Big hART chief executive officer Scott Rankin grew up around boatsheds and has always had an affinity towards them.
"What we try to do is listen to the shed itself... and the story it tells," he said.
"They each have a story and a unique sound."

In one of the sheds, musician Yyan Ng will be playing music with crustaceans.
"It's almost like the instruments have crawled up out of the water," Mr Rankin said.
The CEO expressed his appreciation for the organisers of the festival and said they will say yes to most whacky ideas.
"The culture of the festival is to say yes quickly."
Hobart audiences will get to enjoy Judith's Return, The Masque of the Red Death, Forest Gin Walk, Mofo Sessions at Mona, Let Me Dry Your Eyes, and Rueremus.
Highlights that will make an appearance in both cities are Big hART's Zinc, After Erika Eiffel, Relay, Listen Deeply, Happy Days, and The Ubus.
Both cities will also experience evening concerts which will have live music, bars and food options.

This year it will feel as if Mona Foma is everywhere as the festival will spread across 58 venues between the two cities to adhere to COVID restrictions.
Curator Brian Ritchie said Mona Foma has embraced the interesting times.
"We are thrilled to present site specific performances and installations that could only happen here and now. Get amongst it," he said.
Mona Foma will run in Launceston from January 15-17 and in Hobart from January 22-24. Tickets will go on sale from 10am on Tuesday, December 8.
