The first meeting at the popular country venue since the shutdown produced six winners at double-figure odds and only one successful favourite.

Up until odds-on favourite Loch Ness Franco led all the way in the last race, the average price of the winners had been almost $14.

Yole had runners in seven of the nine races and won five of them.

They included the fastest class race on the program, for rating 60 to 70 horses, with Somedan who led all the way to beat Stormont Star and odds-on favourite Racketeers Boy.

Somedan, a 74-rater, got into the race courtesy of a claim for junior driver Taylor Ford and the preferential draw based on money earned at the horses' past six starts saw him perfectly placed in barrier 3.

Ford drove aggressively at the start to get across Shadow Ross and take up the running.

Somedan then rated 2:00.9 for the 2150m and ran his last 800m in 58.84 to comfortably hold the opposition at bay.

Stormont Star battled on well for second after taking off three wide at the bell.

Racketeers Boy, who had worked to the death about 1400m out, joined the leader turning for home but couldn't finish off in the straight.

Taylor Ford also teamed up with Yole to win the Rating 30-49 on Mach Charm, again leading all the way.

Five of the nine winners led all the way while Most Perfect Major sat outside the leader.

Yole's other winners were Karalta Dazzler (Gareth Rattray), Lake Eyre (Mark Yole) and Tally Operator who benefited from the drive of the day by Sam Clotworthy who eased early from outside the second row then never left the pegs.

Longford trainer Ian Hay hasn't mapped out any plans for well-bred mare Sidorova but that doesn't mean he can't dare to dream.

Hay would love to see the four-year-old follow a family tradition and tackle the $150,000 Bow Mistress Trophy at Elwick in February.

Her grand-dam Dragila won the race in 2003 and her dam Isibaeva was successful in 2014.

"It would be lovely for three members of the same family to win it," Hay said.

Sidorova still has a long way to go to get to that level but showed she was on the right track with an easy win the Benchmark 66 Handicap in Hobart on Sunday.

It was her third victory from only 10 starts and was due in no small part to a ground-saving ride by apprentice Codi Jordan.

Sidorova was last approaching the home turn but, with her rivals all wanting to go wide, she was presented with a saloon passage along the rail and finished too well for Strategic Agenda and First Accused.

"I've always said in 50 years in racing that the shortest way home is the rails - stick by the rail and come up No. 1," Hay said.

"Codi rode this mare so well first-up last time that I said to her I hoped she could ride her again.

"I like that she rides with patience - she is very quiet and I think she'll go a long way."

Hay said he was fortunate to have Sidorova in his stable as she was bred by Hobart businessman and NSW stud owner Bruce Neill.

"We're very lucky Bruce has allowed us to race her and has stayed in the filly himself," the trainer said.

Hay finished with a double, having picked up the Class 1 Handicap with Stefanidi after jockey David Pires also stuck to the inside on the heavily-backed favourite.

Wesley Vale trainer Glenn Stevenson and jockey Ismail Toker continued their good form when first-starter Turk Warrior easily won the $20,000 Tony Carrick 2YO Vase which carried an extra $20,000 in Tasbred bonuses.

Toker settled Turk Warrior in third spot, one off the rail, before quickly racing up to join the leader Neutralize nearing the home turn.

The Outreach gelding then shook off that filly inside the 200m and drew away to score by three lengths in a very impressive performance.

The thoroughbred meeting scheduled for Elwick on Sunday December 13 has been moved to Mowbray.

It will now be held in a late afternoon timeslot on December 12 with Sky 2 coverage.

The Sky Channel schedule lists the first race for 2.15 pm and the last for 6.50 pm.
