Sacred Heart schoolmates Solomon Boyle and Daniel Wojcik were among the dominant performers on the second day of the Tasmanian All-Schools Track and Field Championships.

Boyle continued his excellent weekend at the St Leonards Athletics Centre by recording a time of 14.67 to win the year 10 boys' 100m while Wojcik claimed the year 11 event in 14.97.
Both athletes continued their dominance in the long jump - Boyle producing a winning leap of 3.92m and Wojcik registering 4.25m - and added the 800m events in 3:08.64 and 2:37.94 respectively.
Wojcik added the shot put (10.36m) while Koby Bryan, of St Finn Barr's, won the year 10 boys' event with a throw of 5.77m.
Several other competitors recorded multiple victories.
West Launceston's Annabelle Cook won the year 11 girls 100m in 15.45, doubled up in the long jump with a leap of 3.85m and then added the 800m in 2:52.96.
Scottsdale's Wade Lamont won the under-16 javelin by 18m with a throw of 52.72m and added the long jump with a winning distance of 5.59m and 200m hurdles in 32.44.
Launceston College's Sam Clifford continued his impressive weekend in the under-20 boys' 3000m in a time of 8:34.49. Douglas Hamerlok, of UTAS, claimed the open men's race in 8:49.13.
Clifford added the under-20 800m with a winning time of 1:57.48.
Bracknell's Alexandra Elliott won the year 11 girls' 1500m in 5:43.50 while Hamish Williams, of Sacred Heart Launceston, won the year 10 boys' equivalent in 5:32.13 and Samuel Lindsay claimed a Sacred Heart double in the year 12 boys 1500m in a time of 5:15.28.
Scotch Oakburn students won both girls' 1500m races with Isabella Shaw claiming the year 12 event in 5:23.64 and Sophie Marshall adding the under-14 in 4:53.01.
Scotch Oakburn's Tom Watters claimed the under-16 boys high jump with second-placed Jayden Eldershaw, of Kings Meadows High, recording the same height of 1.70m.
Scotch Oakburn claimed another victory in the girls' under-14 400m, as Abbey Berlese won in 62.42.
The girls' 200m hurdles was won by Asha Lowe, of St Patrick's College, in 32.84 and Riverside High's Will Bottle won the under-16 boys' 3000m walk in 14:05.88.
The Alexander Creak success story continued as the Scotch Oakburn athlete won the boys' under-18 800m in 2:04.99.
The under-14 boys' javelin was won by Exeter's Avery Thomas with a throw of 31.54m; the under-18 boys' 400m hurdles was won by Jaydn Crawford, of Newstead College, in a time of 60.75; and the under-16 boys' 200m was won by Jackson Wood, of Riverside High, in 23.71.
Several athletes from the North-West Coast had a day out to remember in Launceston.
Ulverstone's Chelsea Scolyer won the under-16 girls' 200m in a time of 25.75 and added the long jump with a distance of 5.20m.
Sianna Adkins, of Spreyton Primary, won the year 10 girls' long jump (3.89m), shot put (9.14m) and 800m (2:53.16).
Masimba Chindewere, of Burnie's Stella Maris, also claimed a personal hat-trick, winning the year 12 boys' 100m (13.59), long jump (4.90m) and 800m (2:15.59).
Students from around the state took part in the competition, which follows on from the respective regional events held last weekend.
The action began with a full program on Saturday.
Many families spent the weekend at the St Leonards track as the Launceston weather delivered a successful event.
The Tasmanian All Schools usually act as the selection trials for the national event, however, the 2020 Australian All Schools Championships were cancelled due to COVID-19.
Athletics Tasmania will still be selecting a virtual team in the under-14, under-16 and under-18 age groups following this weekend's championships and performances at the Hobart and Launceston regional events.
