Jon McComb continued his outstanding 2020 form by winning the longest course from his wife Cathy McComb.
Promising juniors Jett McComb and Niko Stonor were only a few seconds behind.
The middle-distance course was another family affair, proving a fight between mother and daughter Sue Hancock and Anna Dowling with Hancock's experience shining through by 26 seconds.
Former Orienteering Tasmania development officer Jo Mitchell showed some of her previous experience by taking third place.
Day two of the carnival, an event in the 2020 state series, was held on Sunday with more than 100 competitors enjoying the inaugural use of the map called Siamese.
Course planner Warwick Moore provided challenging courses allowing competitors to demonstrate their map-reading skills.
The map features a water race built by the Siamese Tin Company in the 1930s to take water from St Columba Falls 45km away to the tin mining areas off Argonaut Road.
Jon McComb again showed his excellent form with a comfortable win in the M21 class.
One of the outstanding runs of the day was 13-year-old Esk Valley orienteer Euan Best, who won the 5.25km course 3 in 43:38, almost seven minutes ahead of Australoper junior Niko Stonor, with Hobart veteran Bernard Walker third in 51:45.
Cathy McComb had a clean run in the women's 50 to win course 4 in 52:37, almost six minutes clear of second-placed Anna Dowling. Australopers runner Mick Cooper was third in 60:17.
Course 5 was won by Sue Hancock from David Marshall and Randall Hope.
On the moderate course, Liana Stubbs showed why she is leading the Tasmanian Excellence points competition by winning in 29:23, 26 seconds ahead of Marcus Degenaar with Esk Valley's Phil Best third (31:54).
The carnival now focuses on a mini-rogaine based at Binalong Bay and a number of training activities before the Tasmanian Middle Distance Championships next Saturday and another state event on Sunday.
