An Olympian and a former Team Sky rider are among a record field of 124 in Saturday's state road championships at Bishopsbourne. Rio mountain biker Scott Bowden and Team UKYO cyclist Nathan Earle will both compete in a bumper A-grade field which also includes Hobart's Ben Van Dam and Launceston trio Sam Fox, Zac Johnson and Alex Lack. Oceania road cycling silver medallists Catelyn Turner and Nicole Frain, gun Launceston veteran Kathryn Woolston and ex-world championship rower Blair Tunevitsch will also go head to head in what promises to be an entertaining C-grade race. Racing will get under way from 9.30am and will see riders take in 17km laps of the Armstrong's Lane circuit.
