An early battle between unbeaten sides LAUNCESTON CITY and South Burnie could shape either side's season at St Leonards on Saturday.
Dealt with the round two bye, City were the stronger of the two sides last season, finishing the year in fourth, but in 2018, a different story was told with the North-West side securing third spot.
A South Burnie victory would put the Hawks in a dominant position at 3-0, after being boosted by the return of key personnel this season.
Ladder-leaders DEVONPORT will also have their perfect record tested as they face competition heavyweights South Launceston.
The Coastal side are yet to have their net penetrated this season, piling on 12 goals themselves with Derek Henry leading the way - scoring half the team's total - while the Suns will be out to rebound following a tough loss to last season's premiers.
The competition's fourth unbeaten side, BURNIE BAPTIST, face cross-town rivals City Marians, who have been battered in defence early doors.
Copping heavy losses at the hands of Devonport and South Burnie, the pressure may not relent yet for Marians, with the 2019 premiers getting the job done in their first game last week.
SMITHTON picked up the first win of their season last weekend and will be out to pick up consecutive ones as they face West Devonport.
Shocking the competition with a win over Queechy Penguins in round two, Smithton may be one to watch under new coach Andrew Ollington, while West Devonport goalkeeper Zac King has been in fantastic form and will be looking for his forwards to get on the board.
