Molotov cocktail thrown into police station car park
The Launceston Police Station was damaged when a Molotov cocktail was thrown into the rear car park on Friday night.

Police CCTV shows an individual approaching the gates to the car park and throwing the object at 10.51pm.
The item self-extinguished a short time later, but smoke and fire damage was caused to the police station building.
In a statement, Tasmania Police said it is continuing to investigate the incident.

"Lives were put at serious risk but fortunately nobody was harmed as a result of the incident," the statement reads.
