Following a committee meeting on Monday night, the Oatlands District Football Association sounded its final siren for the year, issuing a short statement on the league's Facebook page later on.
"This decision was not made lightly, but it was agreed that the financial impact and health and safety aspect outweighed the benefits of going ahead with an abbreviated season," the post stated.
The league's post continues with the competition hoping to return to a seven-team fixture next season, with Oatlands and Swansea pulling out of play before the COVID-19 outbreak.

Both sides cited impending Midlands Highway roadworks and clashing sporting commitments for previous and potential players as reasons for their withdrawal with the two sides unable to compile a 35-man roster.
The ODFA competition, which last season saw the Mount Pleasant Mounties win their 18th premiership since affiliating with the league in 1953, has now become the second in the state to pull the pin on the 2020 season, following in the footsteps of North-West counterparts the Darwin Football Association.
Other footballing communities around both the North and North-West of the state including: the NTFA, NTJFA, CHFA, NWFL, NWFA and KIFA, are all yet to make a decision on the season ahead.
