After a dominant Day 1, Ulverstone comfortably wrapped up first innings points, dismissing the Blues for 100, to take a lead of 85 runs into the second innings, with Coby Walmsley (3-11) and Rohan Speglic (2-6) the pick of the bowlers.
The Black Caps then went about setting up an outright victory, as Jacob Snare (61 not out) and Alex Wynwood (58 not out) propelled them to 1/124, with an overall lead of 209, before they declared.
Wynyard's chase started disastrously, collapsing to 4-15, with Coby Walmsley (4-36) again doing the damage.
Ulverstone looked set to wrap up an easy victory, before Brodie Stokes (80) and youngster Jonty Blake (47) combined for a 105-run partnership and Matthew Wickham (42 not out) and Darcey Brazendale (24) made valuable contributions, helping the Blues snatch an unlikely victory, winning by three wickets.
Meanwhile a century from Latrobe opener Callan Morse led his side to a first-innings win against the Burnie Hurricanes at the Latrobe Recreation Ground.
The Hurricanes declared on their end of Day 1 total of 8-291, leaving the Demons a mammoth chase to claim victory.
The Demons lost coach Chris Boon to the first ball of the innings, but a partnership of 153 runs between Morse (124) and James Tyson (63) got them back in the contest.
An 82-run stand by Morse and captain Tristan Weeks (44) left them sitting comfortably at 3-236, before wickets to Josh Barry (3-53) and Nick Revell (3-48) caused a collapse of 4-12, putting the game back in the balance at 7-248.
The experience of Dion Parsons (42) guided the Demons to an important first-innings victory, finishing the day all out for 306.

At Sheffield, after the Mountaineers claimed first-innings points last week, Devonport resumed their second innings at 0-9, with a lead of two runs.
The Orions had an even contribution with the bat, with Brad Moore (40), Tyler Dell (43) and Heath Davies (47) all scoring freely to help their team to 6-240 before they declared in pursuit of a solid win.
Sam Robinson (3-37) and Marc Simonds (3-109) were wicket takers for Sheffield.
Jordan Marshall (59 not out) and Aiden Marshall (24) stood firm for the Mountaineers, finishing the day at 3-100, with Toby Bellchambers (2-26) picking up two wickets.
