The summit 35, owned by Tim Olding, has taken the lead from the Mumm 36 Heatwave in IRC and AMS overnight.
At 7am this morning, Tim Olding reported they had left the Mercury Passage after a beautiful dawn run under kite and managed to overtake Heatwave.

Matthew Keal's Heatwave remains a threat to Vertigo and is sitting second on IRC and AMS standings and it will certainly be a competition between these two boats into the Derwent River in the late afternoon.
Garry Smith's Fork in the Road is continuing his lead for line honours from Victoria yacht Dream and the finish should ensure the boats finish very close on time.
