Three people have been charged in relation to the alleged theft of firefighting equipment from vehicles in Swansea, along with another burglary and other offences.

Two chainsaws and about 100 litres of petrol were allegedly stolen from Parks and Wildlife and Sustainable Timber Tasmania vehicles which were parked in Swansea overnight on the weekend after being used in firefighting.
A Swansea resident also reportedly disturbed a man and a woman at the scene of another alleged burglary.

A 39-year-old man, 36-year-old man and 38-year-old woman, all from Hobart, were arrested after police intercepted two vehicles allegedly containing the stolen property. One was charged with burglary and stealing offences, another with serious traffic offences and the third with unlawful possession of property.
One vehicle was intercepted in Swansea on Sunday, and the other in Triabunna on Monday.
The chainsaws - a Stihl 044 and Stihl 046 - are yet to be located. Police are also looking to find the owners of seized stolen property including fishing gear, a mountain bike and hand tools.
