Thousands of year 12 students across Tasmania are taking a sigh of relief after receiving their ATAR results from their pre-tertiary studies.

Launceston College students Harry Wilson and Brad Reardon are two of the top 100 students in the state by way of ATAR scores.
Harry said it was pretty great to end the year and high school on a successful note.
"Obviously throughout the year you work so hard - it's good to see all that work pay off and you get the results you want," he said.
"The workload was definitely hard - if you want to do well in everything you've got to put in 100 per cent ... it's good to feel like it was worth it."
In other news:
Harry studied physics, chemistry, economics and maths. His sister achieved Dux of her year in 2018 - Harry said it's possible he may receive the honour after ATAR scores are finalised.
"It would obviously be pretty great going back-to-back in the family, mum and dad would be pretty happy," he said.
"I think we're a bit competitive in the family, but not too competitive ... at the moment my sister and I have got the same ATAR so that puts us on even ground."

Harry said he aims to attend a university interstate in 2020 studying science and possibly economics. Brad said it was good to put all the sleepless nights and lunchtime studying behind him.
"It's amazing ... all that hard work paid off, it was really good," he said.
"I think the pressure that we're put under through this year 11 and 12 is really huge and to have all that relief come off is pretty good."
Brad was offered a job as an accountant at KPMG after the firm assessed his predicted results and started a week after exams. His advice to future year 12 students was to stick to your guns and your efforts would be rewarded.
"I remember heaps of times my friends would tell me to come and play basketball and I'd say I've got to study," he said.
"Really you haven't lost out on anything and you get all these opportunities opening up for you."
