Runner-up in the player of the year award after a breakout season, Seymour is no stranger to finals having played in multiple premierships with former NTFA powerhouse Old Scotch.
But making the second week of TSL finals is brand new for the 21-year-old star - as is wearing a tagger.
The ex-Roo was kept quiet by Lachie Watt early in last weekend's elimination final win over Tigers, but broke free for a crucial 50m goal in the third quarter.
"I've been pretty lucky this year - Jobi [Harper] has seemed to be the one that gets tagged a lot in our midfield so in that sense I've been lucky," Seymour said.
TIME TO DECIDE: AFL need to believe, says Brad Green
"He was someone I went to during the [Tigers] game and also during this week just to talk about how he deals with it. From a personal point of view with my year I've got a lot to thank him for his work that he does getting tagged every week."
Saturday's opponent Glenorchy has largely opted to go head-to-head in the midfield this season, but Seymour said he would be ready to work through another tag should it come his way.
"Whatever's thrown our way we'll cope with it, deal with it and hopefully still play good footy," he said.
"We've got a really strong midfield so each week it seems to be me, Jobi, Tim Bristow or Brian [Brendan] Taylor who are playing their role well, so if one of us misses out the other three seem to play well.
"If the attention comes my way hopefully he [Harper] can have a big game."
