North Launceston duo Jackson Callow and Rhyan Mansell stood tall for Tasmania Devils but weren't able to guide their side across the line as Eastern Ranges came away 11.11 (77) to 8.5 (55) winners.
Callow opened the game in clinical fashion with the Devils' first three majors to give the home side a seven-point quarter-time lead at UTAS Stadium before finishing his tally just minutes into the second.
A back-and-forth contest ensued with the visitors entering the main break one point in front courtesy of a late Benjamin Hickleton goal.

Both sides shared a major in the third quarter setting up for a cracking finale but it was one way traffic as the Ranges piled on four goals to one with Mansell's 30-metre set shot saving the Devils from embarrassment.
Eastern Ranges piled on a massive nine individual goal-scorers in the 22-point victory with only Hickleton and Jamieson Rossiter scoring multiples while Oliver Davis amassed 19 disposals in the losing Devils effort that has them sitting at four wins and eight losses in the inaugural NAB League.
