The Eagles lead 11.5 (71) to 5.1 (31) at half time of the important contest, with Bridport and Evandale sitting on even points prior to the match-up.
After a back-and-forth start, three consecutive Sam Bouwman goals put the Eagles in the box seat for the first quarter with effective inside-50 delivery from the likes of James Storay and Jordan Harris setting the leading side apart.

Trailing by four goals at quarter-time, Meander Valley showed glimpses of brilliance through effective ruck work from coach Damian Rhind, silky smooth movement from former North Launceston midfielder Callum Harrison and dangerous work in front of goal from Richie Heazlewood.
Powerful forward Luke Page and Heazlewood both have two for the Suns as they struggle to combat the Eagles' fast-moving play, only managing one goal in the second quarter.
