After the start of play was delayed due to overnight rain, the finals were played under lights in front of a large crowd that built throughout the day.
With the scores all tied up after regulation time in the A Grade final, Kentish and Midlands picked their strongest performing three to play in a golden goal scenario.
Kentish goal-scorer Ben Turner was first to the ball, but Midlands were able to dislodge the ball from his racquet in the process.
Kentish's Turner, Elesha Spillane and Emily Shadbolt then continued their defensive prowess and pressed hard, holding off Midlands until Shadbolt was able to break free and pass the ball to Turner for the victory.
Midlands were pushed to make the final by Central, competing in a tight battle in the group-stage matches, with the last matches in both the A and B grades deciding who would be playing off for the grand prizes.
