The national junior track championships begin on Wednesday, followed by the senior titles, both at the Anna Meares Velodrome in Brisbane.
The majority of the team leaves on Tuesday before linking up with some high-profile headline acts in Queensland.
Launceston City Cycling Club pair Lauren Perry and Josh Duffy will team up with newly-crowned world champs Amy Cure (Mersey Valley) and Georgia Baker (Northern Districts), plus Macey Stewart (Mersey Valley) and Zack Gilmore (Launceston) in a senior team coached by Matthew Gilmore.
Meanwhile Janelle Smith will oversee the junior team of under-15s Sam McKee (Launceston City CC) and Hayden Van Der Ploeg (City of Burnie) and under-17s Renae Philpott (Hobart Wheelers), Gigi O'Rourke (Mersey Valley), Lachlan Spurr, Dalton Stretton (both Burnie) and Jack Menzies (Mersey Valley)
"It's great to have the four girls back together (for the first time since 2015 when they won the team pursuit for the second time) and with Amy and Georgia's recent success at worlds it will be interesting to see how they all go," Gilmore said.
"Lauren has produced some of her most consistent training for a couple of years and is targeting the individual pursuit where some of the others will be concentrating on the bunch races.
"There's been a massive improvement in Josh. He's had a stellar season so it'll be great to see him in senior competition and he has some established benchmarks to reach over the next 12 months."
Gilmore said his son Zack had settled in well with with the Australian Cycling Academy and will use the track competition to complement the team's road program.
"They are run by former track rider Ben Kersten and also have guys like Sam Welsford and Kelland O'Brien on the team so they understand track cycling and are very supportive of it. What Zack does on the road can help with things like the points score and scratch races.
"He has been working on areas he was deficient in and his focus will be on the bunch races whereas Josh is looking at the individual pursuit and time trial."
Smith added: "We endeavour to be competitive. Most of the kids have had exposure to the National Junior Track Series and performed well so we're looking to carry that on into this event.
"A new event in national junior competition this year is the madison and we can field a team this year. Renae will be our only dedicated sprinter so we're looking for her to do well and there's a really good representation from the North-West in the team."
